Ball & Rod Mills

The Legend batch ball and rod mills are designed for laboratory grinding of samples, minerals, and ores. Typical feed size should be 1/8" or smaller for ball mills and 1/2" or smaller for rod mills. However, larger feed size may be possible (grinding times will increase substantially for larger feed).

Mills require a variable or fixed speed drive roll (sold separately).

Ball mills typically operate from 55 to 70 rpm.
Rod mills typically operate from 45 to 80 rpm.

O-ring sealed lids allow for either wet or dry grinding.
