UA-1000 Plate Aligner

Proper plate intallation and maintenance is essential and when done properly, will extend plate life. This tool will assist the installer to ensure plates are in perfect alignment.

File or grind down any ridges on the edges of the plates before aligning the plates. Make sure there is no dirt or other debris in the door hinge, and that the door is fully clamped and tight.

To use the plate alignment tool, make sure the rotating plate is seated against the mounting bell, and that the three mounting bolts are tight. Slide the plate aligner over the rotating plate. Tighten the two bolts on the stationary plate, close the door, and securely lock the door closed. Position the plate aligner around both plates, and lock the clamp handle. Since the stationary plate bolts are loose, the plate will move and align to the rotating plate. Before loosening the clamp handle, tighten the two mounting bolts for the stationary plate. Release the clamp handle, open the door, and remove the alignment tool. finger tight.
