Manual Core Splitter
Core splitters are used to split cores lengthwise for study and analysis.
A popular core splitter because of its portability. Easy to use. Simply place the core lengthwise on the vee block, then lower the knife blade by rotating the hand wheel. When the knife is in firm contact with the core, a sharp blow with a hammer on the rod cap will cleanly split the core.
This core splitter handles core lengths of up to 3-3/4" (95.3mm), and from 3/4" (19mm) to 2-7/8" (73mm) in diameter.
