This Spinpak consists of the popular Spinbar Octagonal Magnetic Stirring Bar in an assortment of four colors and five sizes, and a convenient Spinbar Restrainer. The white, yellow, blue and red colors provide a contrast with mixing solutions. They are also useful for designating ownership and distinguishing which stirring bars to use for certain solutions. The 8-sided profile of the magnetic stirring bar provides a greater surface area and added turbulence when compared to the smooth surface of a cylindrical bar. A molded pivot ring aids in reducing friction and chattering. The included Spinbar Restrainer fits comfortably in one hand. When held alongside the outer wall of mixing vessels it securely retains magnetic stirring bars and prevents stirring bar splashes while decanting. A powerful magnet inside the restrainer attracts and holds magnetic stirring bars up to 80mm (3") long.
