Description

Borosilicate beaker BBW-9 for the cupellation parting process with nitric acid according to ISO11426

Dimensions of the beaker are: 78mm ID x 87mm IH

(beaker is specially designed to fit the quartz parting and annelling basket QBR-9)

Main characteristics of the beaker are:

Withstands concentrated / boiling nitric acid attack.
Low thermal expansion coefficient (αL = 3.3·10-6·K-1). Three times less linear expansion than ordinary glass.
Low density and low thermal mass (Specific heat capacity 0.83 J / g·K)
Resists temperatures up to 500ºC
Softening point 820º C
Thermal shock: Resists temperature differentials of up to 165ºC
(Ordinary glass resists temperature differential of only 37ºC)
