Quartz Parting Basket 49 place (7×7 pattern)

Includes 49 thimbles and 2 spares.

For parting in acid, or annealing in furnace (up to 1000C) Thimbles are slotted to allow acid to circulate.

Use with acid beaker Item # 19254 and cover # 194541 (both sold separately).

These quartz parting & annealing baskets for 49 samples are capable of withstanding:

Attack of concentrated nitric acid
High temperature necessary for annealing (up to 1000ºC)
Thermal shock due to very low coefficient of thermal expansion.
They are therefore suitable for simultaneously processing the two nitric acid attacks (the first with nitric acid 33%, the second with nitric acid 49%) and then go directly in the gold annealing furnace (after rinsing with water).
